This nut was designed For the mine in Phalaborwa to lock their high voltage DB boards due to a FATAL accident, so that it can only be opened by a key coded tool to prevent it happening again. We then introduced the small nut to the truck world where it was a major immediate success. Companies such as SANDOWN COMMERCIAL VEHICLE CENTURION, e.g.  Freightliner and Fuso use the nut to secure the batteries, MERCEDES BENZ SANDOWN use the nut to secure the spare wheel bracket to stop the wheel on the SPRINTER from been stolen, they also use it to secure the batteries on the MERC TRUCKS. VOLKSWAGEN CENTURION fits the nut to secure the spare wheel on the Caddy.
